Check back here regularly to find out what's going on at Whitefield Forest Touring Park.
We will be opening the gates to Whitefield Forest Touring Park on Monday 12 April 2021.
In line with the government's raod map to releasing lockdown the campsite will be open to caravans, motorhomes and campervans with their own facilities.
Our toilet block will remain closed until 17 May 2021 when we hope to be able to open these facilities to campers. As we are sure you are aware, these dates are subject to government review - stay safe everyone.
We look forward to seeing you soon.
CORONAVIRUS – Whitefield Forest Touring Park - updated for 2021.
OUR PLAN TO KEEP YOU SAFE WHEN WE OPEN.
While we have been closed we have reviewed all aspects of operations at our campsite adapting our existing procedures and finding new ways to do things to ensure you have the relaxing stay you deserve, while keeping our guests' and our team's safety a priority.
We are fortunate to have 23 acres of land and of course a plentiful supply of fresh country air. Our pitches are generously sized and we are well placed for you to explore the Island, whether you choose to walk, cycle or drive, bus or car, we are a short disstance from the lovely Island beaches.
We have completed a thorough risk assessment on all aspects of how we operate and are pleased to report that we can open in compliance with government social distancing and following best practice that will evolve as advice changes.
Before we open we will be establishing high standards of safety and cleanliness. At Whitefield Forest Touring Park, you can expect fewer guests as we are limiting the number of families staying at one time to help keep everyone's stay spacious and relaxed.
Our hygiene routines and cleanliness will be prioritised everywhere.
If guests or a member of our team are unwell or have any Covid-19 symptoms, we ask you / them to stay at home and we will move your stay to a later date when you are recovered.
Before you set out on your journey to visit us, we will invite you to pay your outstanding balance over the phone and to confirm your travel details are correct. This will enable a swift check-in when you arrive. We kindly request that only one member of your group enter reception to be given pitch and campsite information.
Reception will continue to provide a small range of necessities and those ice-cream treats! We kindly ask that guests enter the reception one at a time and maintain social distancing whilst waiting.
Our amenities block will be closed from 12 April. From 17 May the block will open all day and night to provide opportunities to avoid busy times. We have reviewed our usual high standards of cleanliness and hygiene and added additional cleaning times of the facilities.
If you would like to extend your stay or have a query whilst you are staying with us please observe the procedures in place for coming into reception or alternatively you could call or email reception if you would prefer. This is so that we can help you in a safe and secure way.
We are excited to be welcoming you very soon. This past year has given us all time for reflection on the people and things we value in life and we are keen to share our lovely Island with you all once more.
Stay safe, see you soon,
Pat, Simon and Louise.
Well done to our COMPETITION winners for 2019! They did a great job lighting up their caravan.
Best dressed caravan - many of our campers decorate their caravan, tent or motorhome with bunting, flags or lights. This year we are going to be hunting for the best dressed tourers to be in with a chance of winning a five night holiday - it could be you!
